Karlsruhe. At its meeting on 12 July 2018, the Supervisory Board of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG moved early to decide the successor for the human resources, legal and compliance portfolio on the Board of Management.

Colette Rückert-Hennen (57), currently Member of the Management Board of the EJOT Group, is to be appointed to the Board of Management of EnBW AG as of the next possible date and at the latest in mid-2019. She succeeds Bernhard Beck who, as planned, will retire from the EnBW Board of Management at the age of 65 on 30 June 2019.

A trained lawyer, Colette Rückert-Hennen is able to draw upon over 20 years of leadership experience, primarily in human resources and executive management, including with the international tourism group Thomas Cook and at Solar World AG, where she was ultimately Chief Information, Brand and Personnel Officer. She is currently responsible for human resources, legal affairs, environmental management and building management on the Management Board of the EJOT Group.

“We are delighted that, in Colette Rückert-Hennen, we are able to complement our Board of Management team with an outstanding leader who has acquired extensive experience in her career to date – and not only in current human resources management. She also has considerable legal expertise and leadership experience in sales and customer management. In this way, she combines superior professional abilities with profound entrepreneurial understanding,” said Lutz Feldmann, Chairman of the EnBW Supervisory Board.

“Following an intensive process, the shareholder and employee representatives jointly proposed Colette Rückert-Hennen for the post of Chief Personnel Officer,” added Dietrich Herd, Deputy Chairman of the EnBW Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Group Works Council. “We are confident that with her appointment, the constructive working relationship between the Board of Management, employee representatives, works councils and the unions can continue in the best interests of our Company and hence also of the workforce.”
